Daleville Volleyball Begins a New Chapter

What is the new Coach Valorie Flick going to bring to Dalevilles volleyball season this year? After asking coach Flick what she is looking forward to this season she responds saying “Everything about it, just really enjoying time with the girls hoping they fall in love with the game every day.” Coach Flick has had experience playing successfully and coaching in the past, but this is the first time taking a head coaching position for a young high school team.  Flick played for the 2012 Cowan state champions and had an outstanding defensive career as libero at St. Francis. Coach Flick is showing a lot of passion and excitement for the volleyball team this season and seems like she is ready to take on her position confidently.

This year’s volleyball season is different with COVID regulations and changes that have been made. Asking Flick how she feels about the COVID regulations that have had to be put in place, she answers with “I mean it’s not very fun, but as long as we are staying together, we are all in this together even not just in volleyball, but in the world and as long as we’re staying healthy and doing the safety precautions that need to be, we will be just fine.” Also regarding the season being a new beginning and start for volleyball, asking Flick what goals are wanting to be made by the end, she says “Well, we all wanna win ,but more importantly is if we are reaching our goals and getting better every day and we know at the end of the day we are confident enough and trust each other to have passion and heart!”

Coach Flick is bringing a new start to Daleville volleyball and she is looking forward to having a great season. She has plenty of experience that she will bring to help the team strive and work hard. This volleyball team is looking to be a successful one with a new coach bringing new positive energy to the team.
